Finance Business Partner
Location: Hertfordshire - Hybrid
We’re looking for a commercially minded Finance Business Partner who can turn insight into action. You’ll be a trusted adviser to operational leaders, championing commercial thinking, constructively challenging performance, and using data to influence smarter decisions that drive sustainable growth.
What you’ll be doing
As Finance Business Partner, you’ll work closely with senior operational stakeholders across the business, providing insight that drives accountability and results.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the annual budgeting and reforecasting process, partnering with operational leaders to ensure assumptions are robust, realistic and KPI-driven
- Producing accurate budgets, forecasts and monthly P&L outlooks, highlighting risks, opportunities and performance levers
- Delivering clear, insightful commentary on performance vs Budget, Forecast and Prior Year, supporting Board-level reporting and decision-making
- Acting as the key finance contact for performance, analysing spend, margin and commercial drivers
- Constructively challenging stakeholders to control costs and improve operational efficiency
- Enhancing KPI benchmarking, reporting transparency and insight using tools such as Power BI and AI
- Supporting Capex business cases and tracking delivery against agreed benefits
- Driving continuous improvement across budgeting, forecasting and reporting — increasing automation, efficiency and value-add
- Promoting strong financial control and compliance while building trusted, collaborative relationships across Finance, Commercial and Operations teams
What you’ll bring
- 2+ years’ PQE (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with a strong academic background (ideally 2:1 or equivalent)
- Experience in an analytical or commercial finance role within a consumer-facing environment
- Advanced Excel capability, with experience building models in Excel and/or Power BI
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a curious and tenacious mindset
- Confidence working independently, using initiative while knowing when to seek input
- Excellent communication skills, able to influence and engage non-finance stakeholders
- Comfort working to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards and accuracy
- A proactive, adaptable and positive approach
