The annual Alternative Credit Awards in London continues to set industry standards, with plans for further event expansion in 2025, a US market entry in 2026, and the launch of a new title in 2027.


The Role:
Selby Jennings is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Sales Director to lead the commercial growth of this prestigious publication. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly driven sales professional to take ownership of revenue generation, manage client relationships, and play a pivotal role in the company's expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow the commercial sales function, driving revenue across print, digital, and events.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with key industry stakeholders and clients.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, expanding the client base.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative commercial solutions.
  • Manage and grow a reliable sales pipeline using a consultative sales approach.
  • Provide insights and market feedback to inform product development and strategy.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in media sales, ideally within financial services, asset management, or alternative credit.
  • Established network of relevant industry contacts.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and identify growth opportunities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to lead and grow a commercial team
