We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Manager to lead the operational delivery of mechanical and electrical works to housing and communal assets. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations while driving strategic initiatives.
As Compliance Manager, you will manage a specialist team responsible for delivering mechanical works, electrical works, and compliance activities, covering areas such as heating, electrical, asbestos, lifts, CDM, water hygiene, damp & mould, and disrepair. Your expertise will ensure that services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the operational delivery of mechanical and electrical works to ensure housing and communal assets are safe and compliant.

Manage a team of specialists to ensure the effective delivery of compliance-related activities.

Act as a subject matter expert in compliance, mechanical and electrical engineering, providing professional guidance and leadership.

Contribute to the formulation and execution of corporate and asset strategies, ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory obligations.

Procure and manage contracts in line with procurement and standing order requirements, ensuring contractual obligations are met.

Oversee risk assessments and mitigation strategies to maintain high standards of compliance and safety.

Ensure service excellence in a high-pressure, regulated environment while delivering against strategic objectives.
Knowledge & Experience Required

Extensive knowledge of statutory, regulatory, and best practice requirements in relation to asset compliance, health & safety, and mechanical and electrical works.

Strong experience of working within a risk-based service area in social housing or a related sector.

Proven ability to manage multiple contracts within a contract management framework.

In-depth knowledge of risk assessment principles and experience in implementing risk-based strategies.

Demonstrable experience of procuring and mobilising contracts within compliance and asset management.

Strong knowledge of building construction, regulations, and industry standards.

Experience in leading specialist teams and delivering high-quality services in a regulated and high-pressure environment.
