The Role
One of our clients are seeking a Finance Manager to join their dynamic team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the CEO/Founder with close cross functional relationships with Commercial Director and Marketing/Brand Director. You will oversee the company’s financial operations, ensuring robust financial management, and support in strategic business decisions. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about motorsport.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting, Reporting, and Control
- Manage all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, and control.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.
2. Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Planning
- Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Develop and maintain accurate financial records.
- Implement financial controls and processes to support business growth.
3. Payroll and Financial Obligations
- Manage payroll and other financial obligations.
- Monitor cash flow to ensure financial sustainability.
4. Business Partnering and Strategic Support
- Provide financial insights to senior management to drive decision-making.
- Assist with financial strategy and business development initiatives.
- Collaborate with external accountants, auditors, and stakeholders.
5. Operational Efficiency
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls and processes.
- Support cross-functional teams with financial guidance and insights.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to support business growth.
Key Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in a similar finance management role, ideally in motorsport, automotive, or a related industry.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and proficiency in financial software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
