Our client is a close-knit, people-first accountancy practice based in South West London/Central London, with a diverse client base and a genuine commitment to the growth and wellbeing of their team. As an Audit Senior, you will take ownership of audit engagements end-to-end, work alongside experienced directors, and play a meaningful part in developing the next generation of talent within the practice. With a clear path to Manager and a hybrid working model built around flexibility, this is a role where you can thrive professionally without sacrificing your personal commitments.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Planning, executing, and delivering audit engagements to a high standard and within agreed timescales
  • Reviewing financial statements and accounting records to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Acting as a key point of contact during audit engagements, keeping communication with stakeholders clear and transparent

  • Supporting, mentoring, and training junior colleagues to help them grow their skills and build their careers

What We're Looking For

  • ACA ICAEW, ACCA, or equivalent qualified
  • Extensive working knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS101 and FRS102)
  • Demonstrable experience of leading, supervising, and coaching members of staff
  • Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with both colleagues and external stakeholders
  • A proactive, organised approach to managing workloads and meeting deadlines
  • Experience working on smaller engagements 1-4 weeks

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to accounts preparation or consolidations
  • Experience working within a practice environment with a varied client base
  • An interest in progressing into a management role in the near term

Why Join

Our client places real value on the people who make up their team. You will be joining a supportive, friendly environment where collaboration and social connection are part of everyday working life, including socials and a culture where people genuinely enjoy coming to work.

The hybrid working model (3 days in the office, 2 days from home) is designed to give you the flexibility you need to perform at your best, both professionally and personally. There are good examples of staff progressing through the ranks and you will have an opportunity to progress towards a Manager role as you develop within the practice.
