Accounts Assistant

A well-established and growing technology manufacturer is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join its finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role offers broad exposure across transactional finance within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the accounts function, supporting credit control, purchase ledger, sales invoicing, and reconciliations. The role offers scope to get involved in month-end activities and audit preparation depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Credit control and setting credit limits
- Processing sales invoices and dispatch documentation
- Managing payment runs and allocating payments
- Processing expenses and credit card claims
- Bank reconciliations and ledger reconciliations
- Supporting supplier and customer queries
- Assisting with VAT returns, accruals, prepayments and audit preparation (where applicable)
Requirements
- Previous experience within an accounts department
- Experience in credit control and accounts payable
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal
- Ideally AAT qualified or studying
- Experience with SAP Business One advantageous
