Novograf is seeking an exceptional undergraduate or postgraduate student with strengths in Finance, Data Analytics, AI and Process Automation to undertake a focused 60-day business improvement assignment.
The purpose of the project is to review, simplify and automate key finance and reporting processes, reducing manual administration, improving reporting quality and creating a more scalable finance function.
Project Scope
The successful candidate will work directly with the Managing Director and Finance Team to:
Finance Reporting
- Automate monthly P&L reporting
- Improve management reporting visibility
- Reduce manual spreadsheet manipulation
- Create automated reporting dashboards
Sales Invoicing
- Review current sales invoice processes
- Automate transition from internal documentation to client-facing invoices
- Reduce manual editing and formatting
- Improve consistency and efficiency
Weekly & Monthly Finance Activities
- Review recurring finance administration
- Identify automation opportunities
- Simplify repetitive manual tasks
- Implement practical AI and workflow solutions
Business Intelligence & Automation
- Assess opportunities using:
- Microsoft Copilot
- Power BI
- Power Automate
- AI workflow tools
- Data visualisation and reporting platforms
Success Measures
Within 60 days we expect:
- Automated monthly P&L reporting
- Automated weekly commercial reporting
- Significant reduction in manual invoice preparation
- Improved management information visibility
- Minimum three finance processes automated
- Clear roadmap for future automation opportunities
