Python Developer – Investment Banking, London : £120k

We’re partnering with a global financial services organisation to hire an experienced Python Developer to join a high-performing trading & risk technology team in London. This role focuses on building scalable backend solutions supporting risk analytics, trade processing, reconciliations and reporting across capital markets environments.

What you’ll be doing:

• Developing Python-based services and data workflows
• Building APIs and automation tools for trading/risk platforms
• Working with large financial datasets including PnL and market risk data
• Collaborating with traders, quants and risk stakeholders
• Enhancing system performance, scalability and production stability
• Supporting CI/CD, testing and deployment activities

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of Python development experience
• Strong SQL and data engineering capability
• Experience with Flask, FastAPI or Django
• Strong knowledge of Pandas/NumPy
• Investment banking or capital markets background
• Exposure to risk, trade lifecycle, reconciliations or derivatives products

Nice to have:

PySpark, pricing models, Unix/Linux scripting, or experience within global banking environments.
