Interim Financial Controller | PE Backed Fintech Scale Up | 6-Month contract

Harmonic is delighted to be working exclusively with a revolutionary fintech scale-up in the digital payments space. This role sits outside IR35 and is a 6-month contract to assist with an especially busy period.

The Client

Our client is at the forefront of the fintech world shaking up the payments and digital wallet sector. Following significant fundraising last year, they have continued to rapidly grow and expand their customer base and have decided to take on an interim FC to support the finance team.

The Role

Reporting directly into the CFO you will be responsible for ensuring and overseeing the smooth running of the finance function and ensuring a smooth audit process. The finance team is 5 strong and you will be in charge of overseeing high quality and efficient work ahead of the audit. The perfect candidate will be an experienced FC with a background in fintech/financial services and experience covering interim roles.

Duties

• Effectively leading and managing the Audit process
• Act as a point of contact for everything Audit related
• Overseeing the smooth operation of the finance function
• Ensure accuracy and quality in work of the finance team
• Ad-Hoc projects supporting the CFO

Essential Skills

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Fintech experience
• Contracting experience

• Specific Payments/Wallets industry expertise
• Immediately available
• PE-backed experience

Start date: Asap

Day Rate: £500-600 (Outside IR35)

Location: Central London Office – Hybrid (2/3 Days per week)

Contract Length: 6 months (Open to extension)
