Head of Finance

Job Title: Head of Finance (Permanent)
Location: Northamptonshire
Salary: 70,000 - 80,000pa

Morgan McKinley is proudly working with a dynamic and fast-growing organisation to find a talented Head of Finance. This is a senior leadership role, ideal for an individual who is passionate about driving financial strategy, managing financial operations, and providing key insights to support organisational growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all financial reporting, governance, and control activities, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Oversee the production of financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow.
• Supervise accounts receivable and payable, ensuring efficient processes for invoicing and payment collection.
• Ensure payroll processes are timely and accurate.
• Assist with banking relationships and manage daily cash flow, forecasts, and related documentation.
• Manage internal and external audits, compliance, and regulatory filings.
• Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring continuous improvement in financial processes.
• Recommend and implement policies and procedures to enhance financial efficiency.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Qualified Accountant with IFRS experience.
• At least 5 years of financial leadership experience, ideally in a manufacturing or product-based environment.
• Proven ability to communicate financial information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.
• Advanced proficiency in ERP software and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to thrive under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
