About the Client
Mackie Myers is collaborating with a well-established private equity backed organisation within the leisure industry. Due to PE investment and organic growth, the organisation is expanding into new countries. To support this growth, the organisation has appointed a strong senior management team which includes hiring for a Head of Finance to lead on financial control & commercial finance.
About the Role
As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for leading the financial health, operational efficiency, and strategic growth of the dynamic and fast-growing organisation. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in providing critical financial insights, managing cash flow, overseeing budgets, and supporting new business initiatives. This high-impact leadership position is ideal for an experienced finance professional looking to make a meaningful contribution while shaping the future of a vibrant and fast-paced organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts.
- Provide weekly financial updates on cash flow, sales, and costs.
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend improvements.
- Develop and manage annual budgets and cash flow forecasts.
- Oversee CapEx budget and daily financial operations.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Support cost control and financial performance in operations.
- Conduct financial analysis for new site opportunities.
- Present financial insights to founders and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field; ACA/ACCA/CIMA preferred.
- A number of years in a senior finance role, ideally in leisure, hospitality or retail.
- Expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
Benefits:
Salary: £70,000-£80,000
Bonus: 10%-15%
