Finance Manager
6-Month Fixed Term Contract

c £50,000 - £55,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen with our Plymouth based client for an experienced Finance Manager to join their fast-paced finance function on a 6-month, full-time, fixed term contract.
As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining strong financial control, improving reporting processes and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of month-end and compliance activities. You will also lead and support junior team members and oversee key areas including controls, treasury and systems development.
This is a hands-on role within a complex, evolving finance environment, requiring strong technical capability, team leadership and experience with ERP systems or transformation projects being highly advantageous.
The responsibilities:
- Provide supervision, guidance and support to junior members of the finance team.
- Coordinate month-end close activities and ensure reporting deadlines are met.
- Produce and review aged debtor and creditor reporting with supporting analysis.
- Oversee ledger controls, reconciliations and balance sheet integrity.
- Support internal control framework, audit requirements and documentation standards.
- Manage payroll reporting, journals and associated balance sheet reconciliations.
- Oversee treasury activity including payments, banking and cash management support.
- Support VAT, imports compliance and HMRC audit requirements across the group.
The candidate:
- Hold an ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification, with proven experience in a finance management or senior finance support role.
- Strong knowledge of month-end processes, reconciliations and financial controls.
- Confident working across multiple entities and finance systems.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills with a detail-focused approach.
