Job Description
A leading international insurance business is seeking an experienced non-life actuary to play a key role in their CUO office.
Reporting to the Deputy CUO, you will provide expertise, advice and challenge to underwriters, actuaries, exposure managers and other colleagues across a range of property, casualty and specialty lines. You will work closely with pricing and portfolio management teams, delegating tasks as required but also being hands-on with risks and taking on ad-hoc requests from in the business.
The role will be involved in setting underwriting and ceded reinsurance strategy, using prior actuarial knowledge and an understanding of company's underwriting portfolio.
Ideally you will want to work at the crossroads of underwriting and actuarial work, and have experience in areas such as pricing, reserving and portfolio management. Being a qualified actuary, or qualified by experience, is required. This is an exciting and fast-paced environment which offers scope to work on new business on a regular basis and experience in a similar environment would beneficial. This could be within a risk carrier, broker or other type of insurance company.
